Making mEmerys: Happy 7 Months Savannah!!!!!!!

On Saturday, we were in Long Beach and had this delicious Tiramisu cake from Porto's to share with everyone

Happy 7 months!

Dear Savannah,

Wow, we can't believe you are only 5 months away from being a year old!

This month:

You weigh 19.6 pounds
You got your ears pierced
When you feel like it you love to give hugs and kisses
You can 'crawl' by going in circles and using your arms
You love kicking your heels and and patting people's arms
You had your first dinner date with us on our anniversary at The Reef
You are babbling "Mama" and "Mom"
You ate your first turkey
You had your first ear infection
You love sitting up like a grown up
You are wearing 9 month clothing
You love to snuggle
You love to sleep on your side
Your two upper teeth are coming in
You are now wearing size 3 diapers
You cry when someone leaves the room
You like to 'peak' or lean over to see an object or person

Your squeal for Daddy gets louder and louder every day you see him walk through the door after work. You and Daddy have special quality time at night when it's bath/lotion time. You absolutely love him and are in complete relaxation while he gives you a bath (with arms and legs crossed like you're in a hammock!) You and Daddy have finally made it over the hurdle of eating time and you love it when he feeds you. You still love sitting with him on the couch while watching golf.

You and Mommy have had an interesting month with your first ear infection and your teeth coming in. Since you haven't been feeling well...your comfort is to be snuggled next to Mommy at all times...which Mommy doesn't mind at all! Mommy absolutely LOVES it when she kisses you on the cheek and then you grab her face and give her an open kiss on her lips.

Socks has a love/hate relationship with you this month. She is absolutely protective of you...especially with other dogs. When other dogs try to come up to your stroller or carseat she blocks them. At night, she used to sleep at the end of the bed near Mommy or Daddy but now she likes to curl up at the end of your feet. She prefers to be wherever you are but hates it when she gets near you and you grab or pinch her hair out. You laugh out loud and even throw your head back when she takes her paw away from you but we don't think Socks thinks its funny...but obviously she does cause she comes right back near your lap!

People are amazed on how much you look like a doll. Interestingly, everyone has commented on how you look like Mommy. There are days that you aren't afraid of strangers/family and there are days that you absolutly love them. We always get comments on how you're such a good baby and you hardly cry at all. You only cry when you hungry, sleepy and sometimes bored. People go crazy when you give them your 'stinky' face or flash them your big smile!

It is amazing how you are growing into your own personality! You are sweet, determined, sociable, happy, and love to mimick people...you are everything to us and look forward to this next month!
