23 Week Dr's Appt & 3D/4D Ultrasound

On Friday morning we had our monthly check up. And unfortunately I woke up seeing flashes and spots out of my left eye. I was quickly disappointed knowing that I was about to be attacked by a migraine (which now explains why I had neck pain). On our way to the dr's it just got worse and worse. I couldn't even keep my eyes open. As we waited for the dr and I'm sitting on those uncomfortable 'beds'...I seriously started to sweat beats out of every pore of my body! The doctor couldn't get there fast enough...it was quite annoying cause the walls are so thin and I could hear her in the other room giggling and chit chatting it up with other patients. It was the first time I wanted an appointment to be over! I laid down and just put a sweater over my eyes while Neal tried to entertain me with I don't even remember what! She finally came in and saw I was in distress...so she quickly took out the doppler to listen to her heartbeat. Again, she was easy to find and her heart beat was in the ranges of 140-160s. Unfortunately she said she can't give me anything for migraines (not that they ever work!)...as we were leaving the doctors office I told Neal I REALLY didn't feel good and would wait for him outside. The second I stepped outside I felt a wave of nauseousness and ran to the bathroom...Grossly I didn't make it to the toilet...it was actually quite embarassing! Migraines are such a pain in the bum! They take over your day!!! Neal took me straight home and I had to call in sick to work. After taking a nice long shower Socks and I slept in til 3 in the afternoon!

I guess I've been pretty lucky that I haven't had morning sickness cause I couldn't imagine feeling that way daily! I thought I escaped the migraines since getting pregnant but the little sucker sneaked into our lives! I guess I was just glad that it happened on Friday and not on Saturday when we got to see the little girl in 3D!!!

The lady giving us a little presentation

Straight on shot of her face...she's smiling here :)

This was pretty much what she did during the ultrasound...we are now calling her a boxer!

She must have felt my pain of my migraine...her head probably hurts too!

Boxing again...

Making a squishy funny face

Playing with her umblical cord...

Trying to hide her face from us...

She opened her mouth for us...

and of course stuck her tongue out!

She did a flip on us and showed us her beautiful spine...

good shot of her ear and her playing with the umblical cord...

everyone says she looks like neal...

her full body shot...

Thanks everyone for coming!!!

It was a really fun and great experience to have with our family. Their room was huge and had the most comfortable bed! Though it looked like she was boxing the whole time it was really fun to see her so active. The 4D was amazing cause you could even see the shadows and every movement of her tiny fingers. At one point during the video it looks like she's sign languaging to us. We got the Grow with Me package so we get to see her again in about 6-8 weeks...the lady said she'll be much chubbier and have more definite features...so it'll be exciting to compare how much she's grown!!!

23 Weeks

Gender: Wiggly Girl!

Movement: She's moving more than ever. I purposely drink milk at night so that she's more active...The other night I thought I felt her from the outside and right before we went to sleep Neal put his hand on my stomach and she wiggled and he felt it!

Sleep: Horrible at the beginning of the weak. Neal's snoring has come back with vengeance! We even took turns waking up early in the morning to sleep on the couch! I had a lot on my mind with the crib and closet so I think I was sleeping so light...it has gotten better at the end of the week...maybe cause we accomplished some things for Savannah...

What I miss: Raw Sushi!

Cravings: no real new interests this week...still loving hot and spicy stuff!

Symptoms: Throbbing neck pain! It wasn't a kink but there was like a massive hump that was just sore...

Current Mood:  Excited to see her little face on Saturday...hoping she sticks her tongue out at us!

Random Updates:
So we set up the crib earlier this week and we are slowly still rearranging furniture around the house. We bought her first 2 outfits at Carter's. They were on sale for $2!!! It was a warm fuzzy feeling hanging up her two pieces of clothing in her closet next to some of our clothes (that we have to clear out soon!)...I can't believe this tiny little person is on her way!

Socks has been amazing! She's been eating A LOT! She has always been a timid eater (unless it's chicken or beef) but lately she's been chowing down. Not sure if she just enjoys the new food or she just needs more fuel. But she's still sexy!

On Saturday we've invited our parents and sisters to come see Savannah in 3D and 4D. Here's her invite!
Hopefully she is active as always during her ultrasounds! Can't wait to see her!

Crib and Closet Set-Up!

This Saturday we opened up the box for the crib! Here's Neal trying to be patient with the instructions...
He really does hate dealing with instructions so finally I took over the 9 pages of instructions and he was in charge of setting it up. It was actually great teamwork! I think it only took us an hour or so to put her crib together. As you can see Socks looks very calm and content on our bed while we built the crib. This was part of our Master Plan! Every time we pulled a piece out of the box we let her sniff it. Quite an accomplish due to the fact that this little girl is scared of everything!

As you can see, Neal is VERY happy to not be dealing with the manual!

We spent the rest of the evening rearranging our room. I think we finally settled on a layout that works out for all 4 of us!
And we're so proud that Socks wasn't afraid to go into the crib!

She actually settled in and loved it!

Even fell asleep :)

But she was soon over her naptime cause we started making a ruckuss in our closet. I swear every time we clean our closet out we end up with a stack of clothes that can go to good-will. Our room now looks like small granades of laundry, good-will, trash, and clothes that need to be folded.
We still have some major furniture moving...but we're so glad that we started now. It's taking some time and couldn't imagine doing this late in the pregnancy. I like helping out as much as I can and Neal is such a great sport about everything!!!

As we were cleaning the room, I found about 50 of my little hair-ties and bobby-pins! (One of Neal's pet peeve!) I couldn't help tying Socks' ears up. I'm pretty sure she liked it and I couldn't stop laughing!!!

But Daddy came in and she gave her big puppy-eye-look and he took it off of her!

22 Weeks

Gender: Hot Tamale Girl!

Movement: She loves moving at night and early in the morning! Felt one good kick that I thought could be felt through outside...but she wouldn't do it again! Hopefully she gets her legs and arms stronger so Daddy could feel soon.

Sleep: Loving it! I even accidentally overslept one morning...Socks had to wake us up!

What I miss: Getting out of the car like a normal person. I look like a 90 year old woman slowly getting out.

Cravings: Hot and Spicy is still on my menu! and Rainbow Sherbert!

Symptoms: A lingering back pain...more like a pinch right in the middle of my lower back. It really hurts when I try to get out of the car or from sitting. I don't think my sleeping or posture has anything to do with it...I just think this is one side effect that I will feel through this pregnancy....(so not looking forward to the last few months!)

Current Mood:  High energy but in a funk to do anything with the shower invites...Need to get on top of that soon!

Random Updates:
We got the Clubhouse for the Baby Shower...and it'll be on May 21st. It's such a busy month...it really was the only weekend available! The first 2 weeks there are 2 family parties already taken and with it being Mother's Day...and the last weekend of May is Memorial Holiday so that didn't really work out. And June is never good cause of all the graduations, father's day...etc...and any later than that we would run into "Welcoming Baby" instead of "Baby Shower". So, tentatively we are penciled in for May 21st!

Our crib and mattress came in the other day and I can't wait to get it set up. But we have some major purging and furniture rearrangements before we bring in the crib. We're going to try to set up early so that Socks can get used to all the new things. She saw a baby jumper toy that my friend gave me and she barked like crazy at it...even though it was tucked nicely in the closet! I'm not sure how she knows what's new and what's not but she was seriously just "passing by" and knew that there was a new thing in the house. (I guess she does technically live there more than we do!)

We are thinking of getting the 3D/4D ultrasound...they have this package called "Grow With Me" where we can go in this week and then again towards the end of the pregnancy. I've been told that (oddly men) to wait til the end but have read stories of women who wait til the end and don't see much cause the Baby is so tucked in cause there's no more room in the belly. So, I think it'll be a blast to see her soon and hopefully again later on. She's always cooperative and comical during every ultrasound and heart beat reading...she'll probably be animated like Neal and I!

Our next appointment is next Friday but I don't think we get an ultrasound. We also have to start looking into pediatricians so that will be our main topic with the doctor next week!

Socks' Birthday Bash

Thursday, March 10th: Socks' 2nd Birthday Bash

She's very interested what's in the bag!
LOVED her curious eyes...she knew it was for her!

Red Velvet for Mommy, Black and White for Daddy and 2 (TWO!) Doggy friendly Sprinkles Cupcakes for the birthday girl!
We laid out all her presents for her...she circled all her presents about 3 times! Sniffing like crazy...out of all the things she was really interested in her Pink Polka dot dress (Such a girl!)
She's practically crossed eyed drooling over her cupcake during our family photo!
Her eyes are like "ENOUGH with the family photos! I'm ready for my cupcake!"
Gotta have the birthday hat on!
YUM!!!
Daddy hand fed her her birthday cupcakes!
Socks still not interested in one last family shoot...she's more intrigued with the leftover crumbs on Neal's hand!
Happy Birthday little girl! We love you!
